About Me

Hey y'all! I'm Kelly Hinshaw the owner and creator of Kelly Hinshaw Photography or as I like to refer to as "KHP". I always get asked what made you to this? Did you just pick up a camera and start? Well pretty much. I took a few photography classes in high school with film and a dark room and fell in love. It wasn't until later on in life that I caught the photography "bug". I really got into photography around 2013. In 2014 I bought my first "real"camera and jumped right in and didn't look back. I had a few years under my belt when a local well known photographer contacted me about second shooting some weddings with her and I was truly flattered. I of course said yes! I worked with her for around 2yrs and we did so many weddings!! I quickly learned that weddings were not my thing but had a passion for outdoors and families. I am still forever grateful for the MANY opportunities she gave me and the many doors she opened for me. My husband and I live on a small farm in Alamance Co. My husband is a collector of old trucks and I thought why not start using them!? and the farm! I am a lover of anything outdoors! I often host mini sessions here at the farm. I am an old soul and love all things vintage. I try to incorporate my love of all things in all the sessions I do. I hope you enjoy checking out the site.
